This management mainly involves planning and administering the operation of a restaurant, kitchen, menus and customers. They must also have strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, finance, etc.

As far as the food and beverage manager is concerned, they are responsible for monitoring the restaurant operation. Apart from that, they also provide good and hygienic quality service and concentrate on the guest’s satisfaction. To become a successful restaurant manager, you must have great business skills and culinary and leadership capabilities to handle huge restaurant operations.

As far as their responsibilities are concerned, they mainly focus on managing the food and beverage operation, recruiting and providing training to the interns, and appreciating candidates for their best performance. Another responsibility is menu planning. The food and beverage manager should have a strong concept of food preparation and consumer behaviour in this part.

Apart from food and beverage management, the concept of “kitchen management” mainly concentrates on monitoring the kitchen’s day-to-day operation, which includes preparation, quality control, hygiene, etc.

Regarding customer service, it is considered a crucial part of food and beverage management. People working in this department should have the experience to take the customer's positive experience. For this position, you need to be knowledgeable as well as they need to be friendly, to respond to the customer’s complaints and enquiries.

Regarding Staff management, the key element of food and beverage management includes bartenders and kitchen staff. This staff requires effective communication and leadership skills in order to motivate the staffs to show the best in their respective work.
